On Saturday, August 17th from 9am to 1pm, Stepping Stone Housing, Inc welcomes the community at the Grand Opening of our new Thrift Store at 53 Biscay Road, Damariscotta. The Thrift Shop is on the site of Stepping Stone's "Big Yard Sales" held every few weeks during the warm weather months and it will feature furniture, house goods, dishes/glasses, small appliances, kitchen items, decorative peices, art work, sewing materials, yarn, books, toys, games seasonal items, and more all at Yard sale prices! There are several levels to check out and stock turns over regularly.
Stepping Stone Housing, Inc. is a local volunteer run non-profit that provides affordable transitional low income housing for individuals and families in Lincoln County in Damariscotta, Bristol, Bremen, and Waldoboro. In addition to annual fund donations and grants, Stepping Stone Housing raises money through selling donated items in yard sales and on Facebook Marketplace and Ebay. You can donate furniture and other household items in good condition at any time in the six bay garage behind the thrift shop. Please no broken items, clothing, electronics, pianos/organs, tires or auto batteries. Your donations help us maintain/subsidize our current properties and allow us to purchase more units to help those in need. SSHI also often donates goods/furniture and items to other non-profits in our area, and stop by to check out our FREE tables at the back of the Thrift Shop.
